April-17-2008,

The GMHL is please to announce this years Referee of the Year Award to Ryan Harrison.  Ryan is in his second year in the GMHL starting as a Linesman in 2006-2007 season working 51 games including appearances in the Russell Cup Finals.

This past year Ryan split duties between Linesman and Referee roles, working 23 as a linesman, and 46 games as a Referee including Referee appearance through the Semi Finals.

Ryan will be returning to the staff in the 2008-2009 season, and will likely work exclusively as a Referee as a Referee and we would expect his number of assignments to increase.  On behalf of the officials in the league, we would like to Congratulate Ryan on his successful season.
