The South Muskoka Shield and the Douro Dukes agree to the return of Will Rinaldi to the South Muskoka Shield for their 5th round pick in the 2008 annual draft.
The Elliot Lake Bobcats agree to trade the GMHL playing rights of Joe Dotson and the 2nd and 3rd round picks that they received from Douro in the Juniper trade in the spring back to Douro in exchange for the playing rights to Cameron Keenan of the Douro Dukes hockey team.

The playoff format voted for and accepted at the owner's meeting of October-28th is as follows
(all rounds are best-of-seven and must be completed in 12 days):
First Round - the top five teams in order of standings select which team in the remaining eight they wish to play. The three teams not selected receive a bye in the first round.
Second Round - the top four teams in order of standings choose from the remaining four teams who they have selected to play.
Third Round - the top two teams in order of standings choose from the remaining two teams who they have selected to play.
Fourth Round (Finals) - remaining two teams play best-of-seven for League Championship.
October-26th
Tim Murray, Assistant GM for the Ottawa Senators, will be scouting the Bradford vs. Innisfil game on Sunday, December 16th, 2007. During a phone call with Dan Garneau and Bob Russell, Mr. Murray said that he will be in attendance and is interested in scouting Andreas Goetz from Bradford and Tim Revell from Innisfil. Good luck boys - show yourselves well!

October-26th
The GMHL is pleased to announce that the following scouts and recruiters have notified the league head office to confirm that they will be attending the All Star Finlandia game in Finlandia on November 1st. Here are the following organizations that are planning to be scouting at this game:
- Finlandia Division 3
- Michigan Tech Division 1
- St Lawrence Division 1
- Clarkson Division 1
- Boston Bruins NHL
- Northern Michigan Division 1 (possible, but not confirmed)

The South Muskoka Shield trade the playing rights of Nik Priebe to the Temiscaming Royals.
October-17th
Congratulations to all league players who took part in the Elmira – Potsdam college games played this past weekend (October 12th & 13th). Our team was competitive in both games, losing 3-0 to Elmira and 4-2 to Potsdam.
Several colleges were in attendance at both games and I personally had an opportunity to speak to five of them. They had interest in many players, including Dave Malicek, Darcy Vaillancourt, Jonathan Dew, Mitch Wood, Travis Saltz, and Daniel Jones.
Once again, way to go guys – I look forward to our next college road trip.
